Leeds United are reportedly not interested in Joey Barton.
Former Leeds United man Vinnie Jones has said on Twitter that he would snap up Joey Barton if he was charged with the task of leading a Championship club into the Premier League.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Rangers was terminated last week following a high-profile row with manager Mark Warburton two months ago.
Prior to joining the Gers, the former Newcastle United and Man City midfielder played a big role in helping Burnley win Premier League promotion, earning a spot in the Championship Team of the Season for his efforts.

Leeds are among the clubs to have been linked but The Yorkshire Evening Post reported last week that manager Garry Monk was not interested in bringing him to Elland Road.
That is not the view of some Whites fans, however, and one in particular tweeted Jones, suggesting the Yorkshire club should swoop for the controversial figure.
And the 51-year-old says he would certainly sign him if he had to get a Championship club promoted.

As far as football goes, Barton is a very fine player but there is always a risk that he could fall foul of the coaching and playing staff, as witnessed during his short stint at Ibrox.
Monk seems like he is on to a good thing at Leeds – who sit sixth in the Championship – and, simply put, he does not need players like Barton messing with that.
Plus, midfield is one of the last positions which the 38-year-old manager needs to strengthen, with Eunan O’Kane, Liam Bridcutt and Kalvin Phillips all very capable of impressing in that role.
