Vincent Janssen’s failure to get on the field for Tottenham Hotspur, during their 4-0 trouncing of Stoke City, is surely a sign that his time at White Hart Lane is over.

Janssen was only brought to Spurs last summer, but he has failed to impress in his appearances for the Lilywhites so far.

And Pochettino’s reluctance to bring Janssen off the bench, even with his side so far in front, suggests that he has little faith in the Dutch international.

With Spurs 4-0 in front at half-time, and with Harry Kane having netted a hat-trick, it looked like the perfect opportunity to bring Janssen on to help to build his confidence.

However, Janssen was left on the sidelines – as Kevin Wimmer, Harry Winks and Heung-Min Son all came on instead of him.

Janssen has already said that he has given himself until the end of the season to save his Spurs career, but if he isn’t going to get opportunities that will be impossible.

And, unless a dramatic turn of events happens, it seems that Janssen is almost certain to make a swift exit from White Hart Lane in the summer transfer window.
