Tottenham Hotspur won against Swansea City in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Vincent Janssen is not having a good season for Tottenham Hotspur, and there is speculation that he could be moved on in the summer transfer window.
A recent report in The Daily Mail claimed that Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing the Netherlands international striker and are willing to pay as much as £15 million as transfer fee in order to secure his services.
The 22-year-old striker, though, played relatively well against Swansea City on Wednesday evening. The youngster came on as a substitute in just past the hour mark in the Premier League encounter at the Liberty Stadium and helped his side to a 3-1 comeback victory.
Many Tottenham fans may still not be convinced that Janssen can be a success at White Hart Lane in the long run, but it seems that his teammates still have confidence in him.
“I was happy that I came on and could help the team,” Janssen told Tottenham’s official website after the win. “Of course I’m happy that we won and it was great to set up the goal for Sonny.
“The team knows that if I’m in the penalty box then they can find me and Chris saw me so played the ball, Son was free and he knows I will pick him out. He finished it very well. The last goal was good as well.”
The fact that Janssen is confident that his teammates will play him the ball when he is in the opposition’s penalty box shows that the Tottenham players believe in him.
The Dutch striker is young and promising, and his teammates should be doing all they can to help both on the pitch and off it.
