Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has revealed to The Mirror that he could have joined Galatasaray in the January transfer window.
Janssen moved to Premier League outfit Tottenham from Dutch outfit AZ in the summer of 2016.
According to The Daily Mail, Spurs had to pay as much as £18.5 million in order to secure the services of the Netherlands international.
Janssen has struggled to adapt to life in England and has been able to score just one goal in 18 Premier League appearances so far this season.
The 22-year-old striker has revealed that he could have joined Turkish giants Galatasaray last month.
“When my agent turned up with Galatasaray I told him that he had to cut off the whole thing!” Janssen told The Mirror. “No way I am leaving Spurs in less than one year!’’
Janssen is a good player and is quite young, and he made the right decision in not leaving Spurs in the January transfer window.
The youngster is struggling at White Hart Lane, but many players do in their first season in the Premier League.
Tottenham find themselves third in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 25 matches.
The North London outfit are 10 points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea and are very much in the running for the top four.
