Vincent Janssen says he has improved at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen scores from the penalty spot
Vincent Janssen is still looking for his first goal in open play for Tottenham Hotspur, but believes he has improved since being at the club.
He netted 27 Eredivisie goals last season for AZ Alkmaar to finish as the club’s top goalscorer, earning a switch to the Premier League title challengers.
He has yet to score in the Premier League for Tottenham, netting just a penalty in a 5-0 EFL Cup win over League One side Gillingham.

Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Janssen remains confident in his own ability, and says that being at Spurs has made him raise his game.
He said: “I feel I am a better footballer. At Spurs we trained harder, I play against very good defenders and I play big matches, including the Champions League.
“In London, I have become accustomed to a higher level, which is comparable with the training of the Oranjes.”
Janssen is hoping to retain his international spot up front for Holland, and Spurs will hope he can get a little confidence boost from finding the net for the Dutch national side.
With Harry Kane closing on a return from injury, Janssen may have missed his first big chance to stake his case for a regular starting spot at Spurs, but he will be needed throughout the season, and will hope to learn from his early showings in a Tottenham shirt.
