Aston Villa have gone six games without a defeat since the appointment of Steve Bruce.
Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia celebrates
During an interview with the club’s official website, Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia offered high praise for teammate Albert Adomah, labelling him as a ‘top-class player’.
The 27-year old hitman moved to Villa Park from Bristol City on the penultimate day of the summer transfer window, and has gone on to be a real hit with the Villa fans, scoring six goals in 12 outings, and playing a key part in their resurgence under new boss Steve Bruce.
Kodjia though, has highlighted the performances of Ghana international Adomah as a key factor behind their upturn in form, and told avfc.co.uk how much of an influence the 28-year-old winger has on the dressing room:
“He is a very good guy – always smiling, always joking, always bringing good feelings to the dressing room – and he’s also a top player. Albert is very quick, very skilful, a good dribbler, he sets up goals, he scores goals. He’s a real asset to this team – that’s out there on the pitch and in the dressing room, too.”

Since the appointment of Steve Bruce last month, Villa have won three and drawn three from their last six games, and now sit in 16th position in the Championship table, just five points adrift of the play-off places.
After their abysmal start under previous manager Roberto Di Matteo, to even have a chance of forcing their way inside the top six represents what a remarkable turnaround Steve Bruce has instigated during his time at Villa Park.
