After missing out on Joe Bryan, Aston Villa need to act quickly if they want Ipswich’s Jonas Knudsen as an alternative as Middlesbrough reportedly close in.

Aston Villa have been left needing to find another left-back at the 11th hour following a report from Sky Sports that Joe Bryan is having a medical at Fulham.
Villa had a £6million offer for the Bristol City defender accepted and on Wednesday (August 8) Bryan was expected to undergo a medical with them.
Yet the Whites have swooped in at the last moment and with the 24-year-old preferring a move to the Premier League, they look set to win the race.
What now for Villa?
The Birmingham side probably thought they didn’t need to focus on Knudsen, but this latest development from West London means the Denmark international is surely now well and truly back on their radar?

Unfortunately in the meantime TEAMtalk claim that Boro are readying a bid for the 25-year-old, with a bid of around £3m thought to be enough to make the transfer happen.
Villa were prepared to pay double that for Bryan so have the funds, but will need to act quickly if they’re not to miss out on both of their targets.
