The right-back’s marauding run and shot past Birmingham saw off competition from Swansea City’s Barry McKay and Nottingham Forest’s Joe Lolley.

Aston Villa right-back Alan Hutton just keeps winning.
Not only did his superb goal against bitter rivals Birmingham City put the icing on the cake en route to a 4-2 derby win, but it has now won an official award.
In the 76th minute of November’s Second City Derby at Villa Park, Hutton set off on a marauding run from inside his own half, weaved past several Blues defenders and curled home from about 16 yards out.
His goal was nominated by Sky Sports as a candidate for November’s Championship Goal of the Month alongside strikes from Swansea City’s Barry McKay and Nottingham Forest’s Joe Lolley.
With a massive 71% of the public vote, as announced by the outlet, Hutton’s effort was the runaway winner of the accolade, adding to the local bragging rights for Villa fans against their neighbours.
Some claret and blue faithful took to Twitter after the club announced the news on their feed, and congratulated their player:
His goal aside, Hutton has been a key player for Villa this season, making 21 Championship appearances for an overall tally of 189 in claret and blue since his 2011 move from Tottenham Hotspur (Transfermarkt).
