The Aston Villa centre-back has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal.
Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark has become the latest player to sign a new contract at the club, which is great news for those fans that saw the 25-year-old excel last season.
Clark played 29 matches for Villa before a twisted knee brought his campaign to a premature end.
But that was not before he had proved to be a vital part of manager Tim Sherwood’s back-line and he should continue that great form heading into the new season.
The competitive action kicks off this weekend and Villa have a number of new faces to integrate into their squad.
The likes of Jordan Amavi and Idrissa Gueye have already impressed during pre-season and in time Villa could have one of the most entertaining sides in the top flight.
