West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss what Jack Grealish did to Said Benrahma in Monday’s win over Aston Villa.

In the 88th minute at the London Stadium, the England international was filmed laying the ball off to Bertrand Traore before making a run in behind.

In his path was Benrahma, who just appears to be focused on the ball with no intention of blocking Grealish’s run whatsoever.

However, the Villa No.10 then wrestles the Algerian to the ground for no apparent reason, which prompted a reaction from the West Ham fans on Twitter.

VAR didn’t check the incident, nor did the referee punish Grealish for the act, which is perhaps why it’s only become a talking point two days after the game.

Regardless of his potential motive, it wasn’t a nice challenge from Grealish.

However, Benrahma had the last laugh as he assisted Jarrod Bowen for what turned out to be the winning goal.

The ex-Brentford forward chipped a nice cross into the area, which was nodded in by the former Hull City attacker.

Grealish did manage to get on the scoresheet himself, although his deflected strike was ultimately of no use to Dean Smith’s side as David Moyes’ men reigned supreme.

Let’s see how the West Ham fans reacted to the incident…
