Norway is currently in a golden era in sport, and at the forefront of this is Manchester City star Erling Haaland, and PGA Tour player Viktor Hovland.

Haaland is perhaps the best striker in football at the moment, while Hovland is a Ryder Cup hero and former FedEx Cup champion.

And while their arenas are drastically different, they have recently overlapped, as Haaland has entered the YouTube golf landscape.

He recently released a video of himself playing a round of golf with his dad, giving Hovland the opportunity to critique his swing. And let’s just say he didn’t hold back.

Viktor Hovland critiques Erling Haaland’s ‘atrocious’ swing

Haaland’s freakish physical prowess on the pitch doesn’t appear to translate well to the golf course, and Hovland wasn’t impressed when he saw his countryman’s swing.

Speaking to bunkered.com, “It’s atrocious, he should stick to football!” Hovland remarked with a laugh, pulling no punches.

In fairness, Haaland looks like he’s wrestling the club when he swings. It’s not a pretty sight! Haaland may be the class of Norway on the football pitch, but he’s a long way from challenging Hovland on the golf course.

Despite the playful rubbing, Hovland was quick to soften his criticism by expressing his desire to play golf with the City star.

He continued, “I think we have some friends in common, so that’d be cool, I’d love to play golf with him.”

That’s a YouTube video we’d all like to see! This cross-sport collaboration is becoming increasingly popular on the platform, and these are two of the most entertaining personalities in sport.

Plus, it would probably be a welcome opportunity for Haaland to get some pointers!
