Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League since 2013, but after the arrival of Jose Mourinho, could the Red Devils be heading back to the top any time soon?

Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013, Manchester United have regressed. Many thought the club were about to step into a new era under Ferguson’s chosen successor, David Moyes, but things didn’t work out for the former Everton manager for one reason or another, and the club fell away from their position as regular title challengers.

After turning to former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho last summer, the club look to have taken the first steps to restoring their status as the biggest and most successful club in the country. After managing to attract several world class players over the summer too, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, Manchester United look to be on course to restore former glories.

But as they sit fifth in the table, battling desperately for a Champions League spot, a title win doesn’t look like happening this season. So just when will Manchester United win the Premier League again? HITC Sport went to meet United fans, to ask them their views and opinions…

“It’s very difficult to say” said one Manchester United fan, when asked when he thought the Red Devils would next be seen lifting the Premier League trophy. “Your guess is as good as mine” laughed another fan.

“It depends on the signings in the summer” suggested one fan, “I thought we might challenge this year and we haven’t.” Another fan said that “with Mourinho moulding the team, maybe in the next three years…if he can stay that long!”

“We’re closer now than we were when Fergie left” added another fan, who was feeling optimistic about the teams future. Many fans felt that next year could be the year…and after Leicester City won the league last year, crazy things certainly have happened.
