Rangers earned an emphatic 7-1 win over Motherwell on Sunday.
Andy Gray reacted in superb fashion in a video caught by BeIN Sports on Sunday afternoon as Rangers annihilated Motherwell by seven goals to one in the Scottish Premiership.
Scott Arfield gave Rangers the lead but Motherwell equalised through Curtis Main. The turning point in the match, though, came when Carl McHugh was sent off for a second yellow after handling the ball in the Well box.
James Tavernier continued his 100 per cent success rate from the spot, making it eight out of eight. Arfield got a second, meanwhile Alfredo Morelos, Glenn Middleton and an Eros Grezda brace provided Rangers with a flattering scoreline.
The score was read out on BeIN Sports, and former Rangers man Gray reacted with delight before talking more as a fan of the club, rather than a pundit about the upcoming Old Firm clash against Celtic.
Responding to the two-point gap at the top, Gray said: “Not for long, we play them [Celtic] soon. Come on Steven [Gerrard].”
Indeed, Rangers sit two points behind Celtic as well as Hearts in third place, but they do have a game in hand over Craig Levein’s side heading into the international break.
The Gers are back in action after the two-week lay-off, as they host newly-promoted Livingston who have surpassed expectation under Gary Holt. Livi gained a point by holding Celtic to a 0-0 draw at Almondvale on Sunday.
