Tottenham transfer option Erik Lamela capitalised on a schoolboy error from new Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, signed from Fulham over the summer.
Mark Schwarzer had a nightmare start to his Chelsea career in a friendly against Roma in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was brought into the club to be a safe pair of hands, but nobody mentioned his feet!
The Australian got into a muddle after a backpass from Ryan Bertrand took an awkward bobble and rolled over his boot.
It was not quite of Peter Enckleman proportions, but it was reminiscent, with Schwarzer dashing after the ball, only to see it rebound off the post.
Unfortunately for him, highly rated Roma winger Erik Lamela – said to be a transfer target for Tottenham if Gareth Bale leaves – was on hand to lash home from close range.
