Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen scored again for Denmark in their World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.
The playmaker netted an impressive effort from outside the box to give his nation an early lead.
Eriksen has been in superb form early on this season for club and country, netting a free-kick for Denmark in their previous qualifying match.
He has recently become the highest Danish goalscorer in Premier League history, netting 33 and surpassing Nicklas Bendtner’s record.
For his country he has some catching up to do. Bendtner has 29 goals to Eriksen’s 17.
Jon Dahl Tomasson is the country’s joint record goalscorer with Poul Nielsen, who both have 52 strikes.
Poland have already qualified from Denmark’s World Cup group, which left Denmark and Montenegro battling for second place.
Eriksen’s early contribution was vital and gives his country a fighting chance of appearing in Russia next summer.
