Young German Thomas Eisfeld has bagged surely the best strike of his Arsenal career to date.
Thomas Eisfeld was Arsenal’s standout player on their pre-season tour last summer, offering an impressive glimpse of the Gunners’ midfield future.
Chances in the first team this season have been tough to come by, but he did make a big impression as a substitute in the unforgettable 7-5 victory over Reading in the League Cup.
He was in action today (Friday) for Arsenal’s under-21 side in their final match of the season at home to Liverpool, a game which ended 1-1.
Eisfeld made sure he signed off his season in style, barring any late call-up to the first team, with a sensational long-range effort to put the Gunners one-up.
While they were eventually pegged back, the young German midfielder can certainly be proud of his strike, and hope Arsene Wenger watches the footage.
