With David Moyes having voiced concerns over a lack of transfer funds available, what do Sunderland fans make of their wantaway owner Ellis Short?
As Sunderland fans brace themselves for another relegation battle, Black Cats fans are understandably angry and upset at the current unrest at the top of their football club. Seeking to sell the club, Sunderland owner Ellis Short has picked potentially one of the worst times possible to move on from a football club, as the Black Cats sit upon the verge of the January transfer window.
Desperately in need of funds to strengthen his struggling squad, Black Cats boss David Moyes has already voiced his concerns over the lack of money to be made available to him over the next transfer window, and with the club’s manager so openly upset about this, it’s no wonder Sunderland fans are starting to get worried about their chances of staying in the Premier League this season.
With this is mind, HITC Sport spoke to Sunderland fans to get their opinions on club owner, Ellis Short.

“Sell up and go!” said one Sunderland fan, who was clearly fed up with the lack of transfer funds available in January. Another Sunderland fan suggested that Short has “conned” the last three Sunderland managers, by luring them into the club, knowing full well they’d have no money to be able to strengthen with.
It seems Sunderland fans are just as sick of Ellis Short as the man himself is of Sunderland.
