Tottenham Hotspur have posted video footage of a number of classy training ground finishes over the last few days, on the club’s Twitter account.
Spurs had more players away on international duty over the recent break than any other Premier League side, with 16 stars leaving North London to represent their country.
So it is good to see a number of those that were away quickly get back into the swing of things and demonstrate a confidence and quality in front of goal that will hopefully set them in good stead ahead of Saturday’s match against West Bromwich Albion.
The likes of Jan Veronghen and Vincent Janssen looked in good scoring form, while Erik Lamela netted a number of impressive strikes, with his infamous rabona skill making a reappearance.
Spurs will be coming up against a Baggies qutfut this weekend who have the sixth best defence in the league, with just seven goals conceded. But quite rightly, Mauricio Pochettino’s side should be in confident mood having put league leaders Manchester City to the sword in the club’s last Premier League game.
Tottenham supporters will be hoping they see a similar goalscoring knack at the Hawthorns.
