The Tottenham Hotspur pair faced each other whilst on international duty today.
Many of Spurs’ key men are currently away on international duty, and two of them squared off against each other today, with Son Heung-min and Davinson Sanchez taking part in the friendly match between South Korea and Columbia.
The pair have both been stand-out performers for Tottenham so far this season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side flying high both domestically and on the continent.
Son, 25, joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen, in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £18 million in the summer of 2015, whilst Sanchez, 21, was a £42 million acquisition from Ajax this summer.
The Lilywhites are becoming a side to be reckoned with at the very highest level of European football, and it is down in no small part to the manner in which Pochettino has built a group of players who have bonded together perfectly, with a really strong family vibe emanating from the north London club.
That ‘family vibe’ will have been put to the test today, however, when Son cheekily nut-megged the hapless Sanchez during South Korea’s 2-1 victory over Colombia in Suwon.
The 25-year-old Spurs forward scored both of his country’s goal in the game, and the video of Son’s cheeky nut-meg can be seen below, via Yahoo Sport’s official Twitter account:
