Tottenham return to the Champions League for the first time since March 2020 as they begin their group-stage campaign against Marseille on Wednesday – and Spurs have posted a video of Richarlison singing the theme tune.
Spurs were last in the competition more than two years ago, suffering a defeat to RB Leipzig in the last 16. Jose Mourinho was in charge then, and Spurs have since had two new managers before returning to the competition.
Antonio Conte now guides Spurs into their first Champions League outing of the season. He will be expecting his side to get off to a good start against a Marseille team with plenty of Arsenal connection – including Alexis Sanchez.
Marseille also boast Nuno Tavares and Matteo Guendouzi. The trio are likely to be involved on Wednesday night, as they return to North London. Spurs, though, will be favourites after a wonderful, unbeaten start to the season.
Ahead of the game, the Spurs players were putting final touches to their preparation against the French outfit. Spurs posted a video of Richarlison heading out to training, in which he sings the Champions League theme tune.

Richarlison will be slightly more excited than most for Tottenham to be back in the Champions League. The Brazil international has never played in the competition. Following Saturday’s display against Fulham, he might get a start.
The ex-Everton man was excellent. Nabbing an assist, he was unlucky not to score – hitting the post and having another disallowed. But he certainly did plenty to show Conte that he deserves a start. Rotation is likely for Conte.
Spurs will face face Marseille, Manchester City and then an away trip to Sporting Lisbon – in six days. A quite incredible turnaround of fixtures, forcing Conte to chop and change over the next few days. But Richarlison will be keen to play.
