Aston Villa’s squad have been videoed in training this morning, as Remi Garde looks to put them through their paces.

The Claret and Blues’ players were participating in a fast-tempo passing game, as Garde watched the squad he has inherited in action.

Garde was announced as Villa boss on Monday, and his first chance to view the squad at close quarters was in their match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Frenchman watched from the stands at White Hart Lane, as his new side fell to a 3-1 defeat, but there was still cause for optimism in the fixture.

Villa showed good character in the final stages of the match, but Garde will be looking to refine their set-up, as they look to climb up the Premier League table.

He was clearly busy working hard to improve their passing game in training on Thursday morning, in what was a fairly intense drill to sharpen the squad up.

Garde will take charge of his Villa squad for the first time this weekend, when they face leaders Manchester City looking to end their 10-match winless run in the league.
