Bernd Leno has only managed four Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season.

But that isn’t entirely a reflection on him because the German is actually a very good goalkeeper.

And even Aaron Ramsdale knows it.

Ramsdale displaced Leno as Arsenal’s number one in September and the latter’s limited action since then is because his rival has been brilliant, not because he is poor.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star is anything but a poor goalkeeper and he reminded his Arsenal teammates of that in training on Wednesday.

The Gunners released a training-ground video on their official Twitter account.

In it, Leno can be seen pulling off a wonderful finger-tip save to keep out an Emile Smith Rowe header.

Lots of cheering can be heard in celebration of the save, but Ramsdale’s reaction says it all.

The former Sheffield United stopper can be seen smiling with his hands on his head, almost in disbelief over the save.

Here’s the footage on Twitter:

Is Leno leaving Arsenal?

In a word, definitely.

Leno will be leaving Arsenal for two reasons:

1) He’s far too good to be warming Mikel Arteta’s bench every week next season

2) The North Londoners have Matt Turner coming in from Major League Soccer this summer, indicating plans to move on the Germany international.

Arteta and Edu wouldn’t have signed Turner – a USA international – to be third choice and that heavily suggests that Leno will be on his way.
