The summer signing has shown lots of promise, but have things fully clicked yet for Paul Pogba at Manchester United?
Rejoining the Red Devils in the summer for an eye-watering fee, Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United was the most talked about move of 2016. Leaving Manchester for Italian giants Juventus in 2012, Pogba has returned as one of the best and technically gifted central midfielders in the world.
However, he hasn’t joined a steady and readily-put together side. He’s joined Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United; a side in transition, still getting used to fitting in an array of expensive new stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrik Mkhitaryan.
So how has the French international performed? Is he yet to reach his full potential in a Manchester United shirt? Or is that big money fee starting to look like a steal? HITC Sport asked Manchester United fans for their thoughts and opinions.

“I think it’s largely fair” said one Manchester United fan, when asked how he felt about the criticism aimed at Paul Pogba this season. “I’ve watched him a lot this season and I think he’s been 50/50. Very average” added another, and one Red Devils supporter added “I think the transfer fee was enormous, and he’s trying to live up to that and I think he’s overplaying a bit.” Perhaps Paul Pogba is trying to hard to impress, and just needs to go back to basics, before trying to do things to complicatedly.
“He’s probably not played as well as we all expected” added another Manchester United, whereas some fans pointed the finger of blame at manager, Jose Mourinho. “He [Mourinho] doesn’t know how to play him” said one United fan.
At the age of 24, Paul Pogba has got a long way to go, and it’s fair to say that each year in the Premier League will make him better and better. The powerful Frenchman was signed for a lot of money, but considering the way the transfer market works, this could still end up looking like a fair deal in the future.
