Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge’s ‘death stare’ has gone viral on social media.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge scored his third Premier League goal of the season in midweek, but did not look too happy after the win over Burnley.

He was pictured on the sidelines after the final whistle looking moody and menacing, and the 25-year-old has not disclosed why, or if there was any reason at all.

The video of Sturridge’s stare has gone viral on social media, and our team at HITC Top Corner have produced a mash-up of the England forward – with Super Mario video game character Luigi glaring straight back at him.

Luigi’s stare is a capture from Nintendo video game Mario Kart 8, which the Independent explained last year had become a massive hit in itself on social media.

We are not sure if Sturridge has seen our effort yet, but he did reveal he had seen the original clip after the game, and asked his Twitter followers to make him laugh by running a caption competition.

Sturridge is not the only Liverpool striker to have his moody moments. Just check out the look on teammate Mario Balotelli’s face as he was substituted last week against Besiktas and gave manager Brendan Rodgers a scowl.
