Liverpool beat Watford 6-1 to go top of the Premier League.
Liverpool sent a warning out to the rest of the Premier League after they smashed Watford 6-1 to go top of the league last weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were 3-0 up at half time thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can. Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino got in on the act in the second half, before Mane grabbed his second to make it 5-0 to the Reds.

Watford full back Daryl Janmaat got one back for Walter Mazzarri’s side, but Georginio Wijnaldum’s first goal for Liverpool wrapped up proceedings in stoppage time.
It was Liverpool at their frightening best. Free-flowing attacking football with glorious movement that left the Watford defence terrified every time Liverpool came forward.
After the game, almost every fan HITC Sport’s Adam Partington spoke to named 24-year-old Coutinho as their man of the match, but there were also special mentions for Firmino and Mane, with each member of the front three no doubt still giving Watford fans nightmares.
The Anfield faithful remained coy when asked about potentially winning the league, with many unwilling to put their neck on the line and say that the Premier League trophy will be coming to the red part of Merseyside at the end of the season.

One fan took time to spare a thought for their fallen opponents, saying: “At a certain point you felt bad for Watford fans.
“It was like [Mike] Tyson kicking a puppy.”
Liverpool’s win over Watford was pretty brutal, and the Reds will be hoping they knock more teams out and become heavyweight champion come May.
