Whether you support Liverpool or not, spare a though for these poor fans who got more than they bargained for at Anfield yesterday.
Already coming to terms with another impotent first half performance, 1-0 down to a visiting Newcastle United, these supporters will have wished they nipped out for a half-time pie or refreshment.
Instead they got blitzed by a faulty pitchside sprinkler which turned itself on by mistake, pointing in their direction.
It was a freezing night as well which only made it that much worse- the look on some of the fans’ faces tells its own story.
