Andy Robertson thanked his Liverpool teammate, Mohamed Salah, on Instagram for ‘lending me your boots’, before showing off some brilliant finishes in training.
Out on the field of play, Robertson is usually known for his expert delivery, but in training, the Liverpool man showcased a different side to his game.
In a number of drills, the Scotsman, and at times with his weaker foot, kept hitting the back of the net, as you can see below.
It does seem a bit tongue-in-cheek from Robertson, who was probably implying that he was showcasing a bit of Salah magic during his finishing drills, rather than his teammate actually lending him his boots.
The Egypt star, after losing the Africa Cup of Nations final to Senegal on Sunday, is already back in training.
Liverpool will take on Brendan Rodgers imploding Leicester City on Thursday and it seems as though Salah could be in line to start.
The Premier League’s top-scorer clearly wants to get over what happened over the weekend out of his system.
And all of that bodes pretty badly for the Foxes, who were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
In truth, if Salah starts, then it probably won’t take him too long to get going again, and if he does, then he will cause more damage than Forest did at the City Ground.
