So who’s done the best deals in the Championship this season? Newcastle and Aston Villa have spent big since their relegation, but teams such as Brighton and Leeds have managed to spend low, but bring in great talent.
HITC Sport spoke to Leeds United fans, and got their views and opinions on who’s been the best wheeler and dealer this season…
Leeds United fans
“As much as I hate them…Huddersfield” said one Leeds United fan, who mentioned that “they’ve spent not a lot of money, and I have Huddersfield Town supporting mates, and I slated them in the summer, but to be fair they’ve done alright.” Huddersfield Town have brought in a number of decent players this summer, such as Kachunga and Mooy.
“We went to Italy and bought rubbish…they went to Germany and got lucky” the Leeds fan went on to say, clearly not happy to see his club’s local rivals doing so well this season.
Another Leeds fan mentioned Aston Villa, who have most recently acquired Nottingham Forest captain, Henri Lansbury. One other Leeds United fan also mentioned Brighton, who he thought would definitely win the league, finishing ahead of Newcastle.
