Jürgen Klopp has been caught on camera making fun of Kostas Tsimikas as Liverpool prepared for a session at the AXA Training Centre.

Kostas Tsimikas mocked at Liverpool

Well, you may be wondering what the German said to the Greece international.

As the Liverpool players prepared to head out onto the grass, Klopp caught sight of Tsimikas and his new hairstyle.

The £11.75m man was sporting a man bun – also known as a top knot – in similar fashion to Darwin Nunez, but it did not receive the approval of Klopp.

In jest, the 55-year-old said: “How much money do you want so I can cut it off? At first I thought Darwin had shrunk!”

The joke was received well by Tsimikas, who simply laughed it off as he made his way out for training while Klopp and some other Liverpool players continued to chuckle over the outlandish hairdo.

Hopefully, the light mocking will not affect the 26-year-old’s confidence.

Tsimikas has been impressive so far this season, recording three assists in just six appearances, while he was also entrusted to start the Merseyside derby ahead of Andy Robertson, which was a big call from Klopp.

Kostas Tsimikas was a bargain for Liverpool

Man bun or no man bun, Tsimikas has been an incredible capture for Liverpool.

Not much was made of his arrival from Olympiakos in 2020, mainly as he was only viewed as a backup to Robertson.

However, Tsimikas has adapted superbly despite arriving in the midst of a global pandemic, to the point where he is even viewed as equal to the Scotland international by some.

The Liverpool No.21 scored the winning penalty in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea last term, and in total, he has provided nine assists in 39 games for Liverpool.

Despite the presence of Robertson, the Greek Scouser has certainly made a name for himself at Anfield.
