Jack Wilshere has been training at Arsenal for a number of months now, and we’ve actually not seen too much footage of him working with the Gunners.
However, after their training camp in Dubai, the London club posted a clip on their TikTok account of Wilshere scoring a rather remarkable goal.
Wilshere’s technique is absolutely ridiculous here. He’s managed to score a goal from behind the net by applying an immense amount of spin.
This technique of scoring from behind the goal is reminiscent of the goal Thierry Henry famously scored in the viral Nike Joga Bonito advert from the mid-2000s, but this one is arguably even more impressive as it’s from further away.
Sadly, scoring a goal from behind the net isn’t the most practical of skills, but the fact that Wilshere has been able to striker the ball in this way just goes to show the amount of control and skill he possesses with that left foot.
Mikel Arteta has been adamant that Wilshere will not be signing a contract with Arsenal despite his consistent involvement in training, but after seeing these two strikes, it’s clear to see that the England international has still got it.
We can only hope that we’re seeing Wilshere strutting his stuff on the professional stage sooner rather than later.
