With Huddersfield Town flying high in the Championship this season, just how good is David Wagner?
In what could end up being one of the biggest shocks of the year, Huddersfield Town are marching on towards the Premier League, and look to have all but sorted themselves a place in the Championship play-offs. After a great start to the season, many thought the Terriers would soon fall away, but the men in white and blue have kept on marching, and are now in with a real shout for Premier League football next year.
Clearly, much of this success is down to Huddersfield’s manager, David Wagner. The former Borussia Dortmund coach has completely revolutionised the Terriers, with many fans dubbing this period in the club’s history the ‘Wagner Revolution.’
But just how good is David Wagner? And how much has he really impacted on Huddersfield? HITC Sport went to ask Huddersfield Town fans for their views and opinions…

“We’ve come today to see the best manager in Europe at this stadium…and Pep Guardiola’s coming too” said one Huddersfield Town fan, on the eve of their FA Cup tie with Manchester City.
“He’s proven to me already, in the short time he’s been here, that he does have what it takes” added another Huddersfield Town fan, who was clearly delighted that the former Dortmund coach was now in charge of the Terriers. A fairly left-field appointment, David Wagner is one that’s certainly worked out for Huddersfield.
“David Wagner has worked a miracle” added another fan, whereas another said “before, players would just get of the coach in the car park, walk over the bridge, and walk in. Now, they’re down the road, meet up a couple of hours beforehand, little brief, little training session, in, and that’s how it all starts.”
Some interesting methods mentioned here by Terriers supporters, but just how far this revolution can take them, remains to be seen!
