Huddersfield Town fans have been speaking to HITC Sport about whether or not Leeds United will get promoted.
Two teams that have done incredibly well this season: Huddersfield Town and Leeds United, are in strong form as we head towards the last weeks of the season. Both in the fight for promotion, many were surprised to see both Huddersfield and Leeds achieve so well this season, with both sides being subsequently transformed by their new managers.
The last meeting between these two sides didn’t disappoint. After a late Huddersfield Town winner, Leeds United manager Garry Monk and the Terrier’s David Wagner were involved in a touchline altercation, which sparked a mass brawl amongst both sides. Can you imagine what the scenes might be if these two sides met in the play-off final?
With that in mind, HITC Sport went to meet Huddersfield Town fans, and asked them for their thoughts on whether or not Leeds United would get promoted this season…

“Not interested, Huddersfield Town” was the reply from one Terriers fan, who made his feelings quite clear on rivals Leeds United. “Them and Reading, you get the feeling that the wheels could come off” said another Huddersfield Town fan, who didn’t rate the chances of Leeds United too highly this season.
“I’ve got many friends who say it would be an ideal play-off final” added another Huddersfield Town fan, “I don’t want to see that at all, us and Leeds at Wembley? I think it’d be a case of who survives?”
“On the playing field, as we’ve proved this season, we would give them a game, thought I’d rather not play them in the play-offs” said another Huddersfield Town supporter, who clearly rated Leeds United as a footballing side.
“I think they’ve done extremely good” added another Huddersfield Town fan, speaking about Leeds United’s season so far, “I have many friends who are Leeds United fans and we have a laugh and a joke with each other.” You might not be laughing too much with each other if they beat you in the play-off final though!
