Former Spurs winger Gareth Bale added another outstanding goal to his collection with a solo goal in Wales’ 3-1 win over Iceland.
The Real Madrid man, who became the world’s most expensive player in the summer after making an £86m switch to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, showed his worth with this great striker against Iceland.
Shrugging off a challenge from an Icelandic defender, Bale continued on his run to goal before cutting inside and bending a trademark left footed shot beyond the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.
Tonight’s win was another positive step for Wales, who have high hopes for this crop of players, spearheaded by Bale and Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
