Arsenal forward, Gabriel Jesus, might be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but one thing is for sure, he is in a pretty buoyant mood.
The girlfriend of the Arsenal star – Raiane Lima – posted on her Instagram story of the 25-year-old walking on his sticks and singing, at what appeared to be his home.
On Tuesday, Arsenal announced on Twitter that Jesus had successful surgery on his right knee and he will now begin his rehabilitation programme, well as the video below shows, it’s starting off well because he is in good spirits.
GABRIEL JESUS’ INJURY BLOW TO ARSENAL
The one question Arsenal fans will be asking is – how long will Jesus be sidelined?
Everything up until now was going near-on perfectly for Mikel Arteta and Co, but now they have been dealt their first real obstacle and they can’t afford to get this one wrong.
The best scenario is Jesus returning back to action by the time the January transfer window slams shut, if that’s the case, then the current Premier League leaders can breathe slightly easy.
But, if Jesus isn’t seen for a while, then that winter transfer window is going to be very crucial in their hopes to try and become champions of England for the first time in nearly two decades.
The issue facing Arsenal is, whose door do they knock on and who do they sign? From the current free-agent, Cristiano Ronaldo to 10-goal Premier League and Brentford star, Ivan Toney.
The issue here is that, whilst Ronaldo’s name speaks for itself and Toney is in the form of his life, they don’t and can’t provide what Jesus brings to the table from outside of the 18-yard box.
But that’s why Edu, Arteta and the rest of the Arsenal mob in the boardroom are paid the millions because these next few months could be season-defining.
