It didn’t happen for the Senegalese striker at Old Trafford, but Mame Biram Diouf is scoring quite frequently in the Bundesliga including yesterday evening, showing why Stoke City want to sign him.

After scoring one goal in the red of Manchester United following a failed £4 million move from Norway, Diouf is showing the United fans what they’re missing in the red of Hannover 96.

The move from Molde was unsuccessful for both the striker and then boss Sir Alex Ferguson and he found himself being shipped back out on loan to his former club and Blackburn Rovers, where he scored three league goals in 2010/11.

It’s now in Germany where the Senegal international is finding success. After joining for £1.5 million in January 2012, he went on to score six goals in his first ten league appearances.

The next season he reached double figures with 12 goals in 28 outings and his goal in the home side’s 2-0 win over Frankfurt yesterday made it three in nine so far this season.
