Crawley Town beat Bradford 2-1 last night in a clash at Valley Parade. But the result was not what grabbed the headlines.
The big moment was the post-match brawl which saw punches thrown, and red cards given to five players. Crawley manager Steve Evans described it as ‘handbags’.
The red card score was 3-2 to Bradford, so at least they came out on top in one regard.
Their offenders were Jon McLaughlin, Andrew Davies and Luke Oliver.
The Crawley players to be shown the red card were Claude Davis, who had only been on five minutes as a substitute, and Pablo Mills.
Referee Ian Williamson went to the dressing rooms after the game and handed out the red cards.
The two sides are at opposite ends of the League Two table, with Crawley in the third automatic promotion spot, and Bradford in 19th, four points clear of the relegation zone.
Both sides will have to do without their suspended players for the next few fixtures.
