Former Tottenham and Fulham man Clint Dempsey has finally found the back of the net again.

Clint Dempsey’s ‘homecoming’ back to the USA has not gone to plan so far, but perhaps life is finally looking up for him.

A regular scorer in the Premier League, Dempsey’s start to life at the Seattle Sounders had been notable for going eight games without a goal.

Until this weekend, when Dempsey ended his goalless streak with a cheeky little volley in a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy which featured a goal from another former Spurs striker, Robbie Keane.

Dempsey celebrated with a little tap of an imaginary watch as if to say ‘about time’, and he will be keen to kick on now and show supporters what he can do.

Rumours persist about him returning to the Premier League in January for a short loan during the MLS off-season. Now he is scoring again, interest in him may become a little more legitimate.

Would you want Dempsey back on a short-term loan?
