Everton’s Conor Grant scored a blinder as the Toffees prepared for a new campaign.

Everton winger Conor Grant scored a wonderfully-improvised goal during a Toffees training session, flicking the ball with a calm back-heel past the helpless goalkeeper.

The 19-year-old was given the chance to train with the first-team last summer, only to see a back injury suffered in November delay his progress.

However, the left-sided player is now fit and clearly raring to go, and his ability to play in a variety of positions, including left-back and on the opposite wing when required, could see Roberto Martinez give him chances in the upcoming campaign.

A boyhood Everton fan, Grant could be just one of a number of exciting young talents given a chance under the Toffees’ manager in the months ahead. And if he keeps scoring goals like the one above, it will be difficult to ignore him for long.
