With Tom Ince linked with a move to Newcastle United, just how much longer do Derby fans think they can hang on to him?
After the return of manager Steve McClaren, Tom Ince has undergone a resurgence. Seven goals since McClaren’s return has marked a tremendous return to form for the former Blackpool and Hull City winger, who looks to have finally found his home at Pride Park. However, a number of fine performances in a Rams shirt has seemingly caught the eye of rival clubs, including Newcastle United according to the Chronicle, and the Rams now face a potential battle to keep hold of the midfielder star.
With this in mind, HITC Sport asked Derby County fans for their thoughts on Tom Ince, and whether they think their winger will still be at the club come the end of the season.

“He’s got the potential to be a Premier League top six player” remarked one Derby fan, who also highlighted that his weakness was his “consistency”. Ince has enjoyed a number of good spells during his time at Derby, but his most consistent stints of goalscoring have both come during the reigns of Steve McClaren. With the former Newcastle man now back at Pride Park, perhaps this will be the catalyst for the youngster.
Another Derby fan suggested that Ince was “only just getting into the prime of his career” and that the worry for Derby fans would be whether he chose to stay with them. Other Derby fans suggested that, though he could well be a Premier League player one day, the former England U21 international still has a long way to go.
“He has looked good at Derby, and Tom Ince as a player can destroy any team on his team, but sometimes he goes missing” suggested another Derby fan, who also highlighted Ince’s inconsistency. Another Derby fans suggested that Ince was just as good as Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez, and potentially even better.
