Tottenham Hotspur put on an open training session on Monday in South Korea and a lot of eyes were on Richarlison as the new signing trained in front of his new fans for the first time.
The Brazilian actually had quite a decent session. He scored a few goals, his link-up play was brilliant, especially with Lucas Moura, and he was one of the standout performers in the fitness test.
However, the former Everton man did have one moment to forget.
Indeed, as a part of a small-sided game, Richarlison tried to defend from the front by pressuring Davinson Sanchez on the edge of his own box.
Unfortunately for Richarlison, Sanchez was one step ahead of the game, nutmegging the Brazilian with a piece of unbelievable footwork.
Sanchez made Richarlison look like an absolute fool with this nutmeg, and then he brilliantly held him off on the by-line using his strength and skill to keep the ball out of the striker’s grasp.
Richarlison certainly showed the right attitude with his high pressing and energy, but unfortunately, Sanchez had his number on this occasion.
However, while this clip makes Richarlison look bad, it has to be said that his overall contributions during this session were outstanding.
He was razor-sharp in front of goal, he was playing liquid football at times and it looked like he’d been in this Tottenham team for years.
Richarlison certainly looks to have settled well at Spurs so far.
