Crystal Palace defender Pape Soaure has suffered the ultimate humiliation, following his side’s defeat to Bristol City last night.

Palace were battered by the Championship side in the League Cup yesterday, and with tensions running high Soaure tried to give his shirt away to the travelling support.

However, the gesture did not go down to well with the Eagles support, as his shirt got thrown straight back at him.

Soaure can be seen on video dejectedly picking up his shirt, before trudging back to the tunnel.

Soaure’s name was chanted by a section of the travelling Palace support, but having his apology thrown back in his face, can hardly have done much to boost his confidence.

Palace’s performance in the contest against the Robins was woeful, and raises further questions about Roy Hodgson’s side.

Roy Hodgson, Manager of Crystal Palace speaks to the media during a Press Conference at the Crystal Palace Training Ground on September 15, 2017 in Beckenham, England.

The Eagles took the lead at Ashton Gate, but ultimately ended up slipping to a 4-1 defeat.

Lee Johnson’s side took Palace apart with a brilliant display of finishing, and progressed to the next round of the cup competition.

The Eagles’ attention will now return to Premier League matters, with their next contest coming against West Ham United.
