Current Arsenal, Southampton and Manchester United stars all started that famous final in Munich five years ago.

Chelsea may have just won the Premier League title once again, but it was arguably just over five years ago that the Blues enjoyed the greatest night in their history when they won the Champions League.

Under Roberto Di Matteo, Chelsea beat Bayern Munich on their own home ground in dramatic fashion, winning 4-3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. But what became of that team?

Here, HITC Sport has taken a look at the team that started that night and where they are now…

Bosingwa left Stamford Bridge following the final, joining and being relegated with QPR. He went on to make over 70 league appearances for Turkish side Trabzonspor.

David Luiz

David Luiz left Chelsea in 2014 for Paris Saint-Germain. He has since returned and proved a crucial player during their title-winning campaign.

Gary Cahill

Cahill is the only player in that team not to have left Chelsea since that famous night in Munich.

Ashley Cole

Ashley Cole moved to Roma in 2014 and then joined LA Galaxy in 2016 after a tough time in Italy.

Frank Lampard

Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer retired earlier this year after spells with Manchester City and New York City.

John Obi Mikel

John Obi Mikel only left Chelsea earlier this year, joining Chinese Super League side Tianjin TEDA after nearly 250 league appearances for the Blues.

Juan Mata

Juan Mata was allowed to join Manchester United in 2014 where he remains. He was the only Chelsea player to miss a spot-kick in the shoot-out.
