Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Cenk Tosun scored twice for Turkey on Monday night.

It was reported by Turkish Football on Monday that Tottenham Hotspur sent scouts to watch Turkey international Cenk Tosun in Friday’s World Cup qualifier with Iceland – but the Premier League side might have chosen the wrong game to go to.
Turkey lost 3-0 that night and it remains to be seen what Tottenham’s scouts thought about the Besiktas hitman, but if they went away disappointed then the 26-year-old certainly gave them a reason to watch him again after his heroics on Monday night.
Tosun, who scored 24 goals for the Istanbul club last season, grabbed a brace as his country drew 2-2 away to Finland. They were already guaranteed to finish outside of the top two in World Cup qualifying but the Turks managed to salvage a bit of pride following their decimation by Iceland.

His first was one of real quality, curling home from outside the box, before drilling an angled effort past the Finnish goalkeeper on 83 minutes and Tottenham scouts would have surely been impressed by such cool finishes if they were watching.
It isn’t unthinkable that Spurs officials were present in Turku to watch him again by virtue of the rumour that Thursday was the third time they had seen him this season.

Tosun is not looking as prolific for Besiktas as he was last season as of yet, only managing two goals in six Turkish league outings, though he does have one in two Champions League games, which came against Porto.
He is contracted to the Istanbul side until 2019.
