With Rangers having failed to compete with Celtic in the Scottish Premier League this season, will the Gers be able to fight for the title next season?
Much to the irritation of everyone at Ibrox, Celtic have had a sensational season this year. Firing their way to yet another Scottish Premiership title, The Bhoys have laid down the marker this year, and currently sit 23 points clear of second placed Aberdeen.

The first response from Celtic fans when asked whether Rangers would challenge them next season was a resounding ‘Who?’ followed by plenty of variations on the word ‘No.’ Another Celtic supporter made the point of adding: “Who cares? They’re irrelevant!”
Other fans made it clear that, in their minds, Rangers died five years ago when the club went into liquidation. It seems that despite the number of years apart in separate divisions, the vitriol between Celtic and Rangers hasn’t diminished. If anything, it might have gotten worse!
“It’s an insult to the intelligence to try and pretend that we didn’t all see the things that happened five years ago. Every news station in the country carried the news. They can’t just turn around and say “No, that didn’t happen, you imagined it”, it happened! Don’t deny it!” said one Celtic fan, who was scathing about Rangers.
“Celtic are miles ahead, miles and miles!” added another fan. It looks like Celtic fans gave us all the verdict we probably expected…time for Rangers to prove them wrong?
