An early Christmas present for Arsenal fans: you can win the Champions League next year but the trade is that Spurs go unbeaten and win the league – deal or no deal?
It’s the dream of every Arsenal fan; that much sought after Champions League trophy. Of all Arsene Wenger’s achievements over the years at Arsenal: the ‘Invincibles season’, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the one that got away will always be that Champions League trophy. If you ask Arsenal fans what their most disappointing memory is as an Arsenal supporter, as we get the chance to do in our Fan View series, most will tell you that defeat to FC Barcelona in the Champions League final still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
So, with this in mind, we wondered just how far Arsenal fans would go to finally win that coveted Champions League trophy. If the opportunity arose, would they take winning the Champions League if it meant having to share the title of ‘Invincibles’ with their greatest rival, Tottenham Hotspur?
HITC Sport travelled to meet Arsenal fans, to ask them just that.

“No way, I’ll wait” said one Arsenal fan, who didn’t like the idea of Tottenham going the season unbeaten. “That’s our crown!” he added.
“Nope, definitely not” added another, who also said that “there was more chance of Arsenal winning the Champions League than that [Tottenham winning the league and going unbeaten] ever happening. We’ll win the Champions League before they’re ever able to do that!”
We did manage to find one Arsenal fan who would take that deal, on the basis that if Tottenham went the entire Premier League season unbeaten, it would only constitute 38 games unbeaten, less than the amount that included Arsenal’s invincible season. He got us there!
