Rangers’ win over Hearts has seen them leapfrog Old Firm rivals Celtic into first place in the Scottish Premiership, and Andy Gray reacted hilariously on BeIN Sports by teasing Celtic legend John Hartson.

The Gers came from behind to beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle, overcoming Gareth McAuley’s own goal thanks to Conor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos’ first-half strikes.

Steven Gerrard’s side went down to 10 men once again after Scott Arfield’s lunge on Hearts goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal, but managed to hold on to an all-important three points.

They now sit in first place with 30 points from 14 games, while Celtic have a game in hand on 29. But that did not stop ex-Rangers man Gray mocking Hartson in reaction to the win.

Rangers will have to be at their best to retain the top spot as they go up against Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen on Wednesday night at Ibrox, while Celtic travel to Motherwell.

The bitter rivals do battle themselves on December 29 at Ibrox in a match that could prove vitally important come the end of the season, with Rangers looking to stop Celtic in their pursuit of 10 in a row.
