Yesterday, Cardiff took on Luton in the Championship, where a current Leeds player encountered a former Elland Road hero.

What’s the story?

Well, Cody Drameh – who joined Cardiff on loan from Leeds in January – went up against Robert Snodgrass at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Luton came out on top as they recorded a 1-0 win, which will have helped ease the wounds of Snodgrass after he was clattered by the 20-year-old.

As you can see above, Drameh is by no means a soft tackler.

The £1m signing from Fulham flies into a challenge with Snodgrass, leaving the 34-year-old in a heap on the floor, clutching his leg in pain.

Impressively, Drameh then picks himself up, before winning yet another tackle and starting a counter-attack for the Bluebirds.

He may have been on the losing side, but the England Under-21 international didn’t let himself down whatsoever.

Leeds fans will have mixed feelings about Robert Snodgrass footage

In our view, Leeds fans won’t know how to feel about this one.

Of course, it was just a tackle, so we don’t want to make a mountain out of a molehill over it.

However, Leeds fans hold Snodgrass in high regard, and wouldn’t have enjoyed seeing him laying on the pitch in obvious pain.

Having said that, it will presumably please them to see Drameh getting stuck in and holding his own in the Championship.

The young right-back has now made 18 appearances for Cardiff in the Championship since his January move to Wales.

Hopefully, he continues to impress, and can return to Leeds with a chance of a first-team place under Jesse Marsch.
