Kevin Strootman continues to show Manchester United what they missed out on.
Dutch midfield sensation Kevin Strootman bagged a beauty last night for AS Roma, helping the Italians to a 3-2 Coppa Italia first leg semi-final victory.
He scored the second goal of the game, following an opener from Gervinho, firing home from distance to leave Napoli’s on-loan Pepe Reina rooted to the spot.
Strootman, a £17 million summer signing, has now scored six goals and assisted six goals since signing for Roma, and the 23-year-old is likely to keep getting better.
With Manchester United’s midfield desperately struggling, passing up on the international last summer could be the biggest mistake of their season.
