Newcastle United beat Hull City 4-1 at the KC Stadium earlier today.
Newcastle United won 4-1 away to Hull City on Saturday afternoon, with Moussa Sissoko bagging a brace and Loic Remy again finding the net.
But despite an impressive victory for the Magpies, the match will be remembered for an altercation between Alan Pardew and Hull player David Meyler, the result of which was a dismissal for an apparent head-butt from the Newcastle manager.
On the pitch, his side impressed, with Sissoko and Remy putting the visitors 2-0 up at half-time.
But the hosts came out for the second half with renewed vigour and promptly scored through Curtis Davies just a minute after the interval.
Just nine minutes later Sissoko restored Newcastle’s two-goal lead before Vurnon Anita netted a late fourth.
The result means Newcastle are two points behind Manchester United in eighth place while Hull remain 11th on 30 points.
