The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been side-lined since August but looks set to return later this month.

According to a recent report in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama is hopeful of making his comeback from injury against Liverpool later this month, and that should allow the Kenyan international enough time to get back to his best before a vital festive period for Spurs.
Tottenham have done relatively well in Wanyama’s absence; however the Christmas and New Year period will go a long way to determining if Mauricio Pochettino’s side can mount a serious title challenge this season, and the Argentine will need his full squad to choose from.

Wanyama is exactly the type of player needed with the matches coming thick and fast, and making his comeback prior to November gives him a far better chance of regaining both his fitness and his form.
Tottenham now have the squad to cope with four competitions and quick-fire matches but only if they keep everyone fit and available.

With Wanyama out since late August, he will be akin to a new signing for Tottenham just when they need him the most, and his presence allows Pochettino to rotate his midfield without losing the strength in that key area.
Harry Wink’s emergence has certainly helped in that regard, but the steel of Wanyama cannot be understated and he now has around two months to work his way back in time to play a starring role in 2018.
